Good job they changed their mind about launching last Friday then, eh? (I’m not kidding)
September 18, 2026 at 1:14 PM
No way indeed . They didn’t launch it last Friday. They postponed it by a week to make it all a-ok.
September 18, 2026 at 1:13 PM
We don’t have the organisational prowess for that.

I guess it could be heresay but that ‘fact’ is whipping through forums and WhatsApp chats.

As an OUFC fan I have worse info on this than the above image. It was meant to be launched last Friday…

Isn’t this his ‘tough on crime , tough on the causes of crime’ bit? You hear the bit you want to. Left votes that had fled to the Greens react Thatcher bell ring, and the liberal centrists hear the Remainer tune.

You can always just stop your payments to them. Fine with a newspaper but wouldn’t recommend for something that might damage your credit rating of course…

Could you have claimed fair usage against yourself?

And yet the romanticising persists!

I don’t see the problem ? The thing in common with then and now is that UEFA has all the power.
July 30, 2026 at 5:49 PM
The clubs organise and pay for the insurance . If they’re playing in a competition not recognised by the clubs’ governing body (UEFA) they may refuse cover.
July 30, 2026 at 5:47 PM
It’s not just the tournament. It’s the qualifiers , where players often get injured. So I think they (and the insurers) would care, yes.
July 30, 2026 at 5:26 PM
They’d have to wait for new contracts
July 30, 2026 at 4:43 PM
They’re multi millionaires because of their European clubs. I suspect that might temper their demands.
July 30, 2026 at 4:38 PM
Absolutely, yes.

I also subscribe to the make-an-impression-while-the-cement-is-wet principle. Spend your first days and weeks framing yourself and the ground you want to fight on, on your terms. You won't get another chance. And tragically, Starmer didn't. Mind boggling.
July 24, 2026 at 7:26 PM
Plus the stupidity of some of those early policies… sheesh.
July 24, 2026 at 5:10 PM
Agreed. He gets what it means to be a modern politician . I (wrongly) thought the country would like a more hands-off Starmer after the Tory psychodrama years, but they didn’t. They want someone to make them feel a bit better. What a waste of 2 years that was.
July 24, 2026 at 5:09 PM
Yeah he’s one of the good guys

I thought Rudy Guede was convicted and served time for Meredith’s murder?
