Final visit to my favourite taproom in the UK: Track. First time sitting out in their beer garden. #bskybeer

Walked miles across Manchester to reach Sureshot Taproom. Great beer, but a big fan of Bully's crisps though. #bskybeer

Went on a small crawl in Manchester after work yesterday. First up was Pomona Island Brewery's North Westward Ho. Always a favourite post-work stop. #bskybeer

So... the Greggs Steak and Stilton bake was actually pretty decent. Meat and cheese together is always a winner in my book. 🥩🧀 #Greggs

Got it into my head to start listening to cassettes again. Turns out a colleague restores vintage portables as a hobby, so he lent me a few. The Sony Walkman WM-EX1 sounds incredible. First tape I ever bought was Michael Jackson's Bad. 📼

Had an early start for work this morning, up at 5.30am, but when the mornings look like this, I don't really mind. #photosky 📷

An interesting collaboration: Verdant Bewing teamed up with design agency The Designer Republic to create these snazzy cans. #BskyBeer

First @wdcfc.bsky.social home game of the season for me, and it just happened to be a 5 goal thriller as West come from behind twice to beat Tiverton 3-2. #nonleaguefootball

Saturday midday on the Leeds to Manchester line and every train has just two carriages. I left early for a three-carriage service, yet it is still standing room only with barely space to move. Baffling that Northern thinks no one travels between these two major northern cities on a weekend. 🚂

We had to come home a day early from Bristol. It's the first time since getting Toulouse and Poppy that we've been away. Claire's dad was cat sitting, but this little guy refused to come in while he was there and just sat out in the rain getting soaked. #cats 😺

A steaming hot bowl of spicy beef tantanmen ramen from Tomo no Ramen in Bristol. And that Chicken Karaage was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had 🤌🏻. #foodsky 🍜

Left Handed Giants brewpub at the heart of Bristol is one my favourite places in the UK to get a beer. What a location. #bskybeer

I'm in Bristol for a few days and those taprooms are a calling me. First night and we've visited Wiper and True, with great food options from Pigs Pizza. #BskyBeer

A wet Saturday here in West Yorkshire. Had a soggy walk to Mythomroyd, the next town along to have a pie and a pint in Barbarys, my favourite bar in the Calder Valley. #BskyBeer

Someone once called Black Sheep Coffee the BrewDog of coffee, which is something I cannot unhear. With queues out the door at every other coffeeshop I walked past today, I jumped in there today to get a flat white. It was alright, albeit gallingly more expensive than a supermarket meal deal.. ☕

In Leeds recently and tried Filipino fast food chain Jollibee, purely because Anthony Bourdain visited one on Parts Unknown.

For fast food, it was surprisingly decent. Spaghetti with hot dogs was a novelty, but the fried chicken had a satisfying crunch. #foodsky 🍝🍗

A few months ago The Guardian listed its top 100 novels, and I’ve set out to read them all.

First up: #100 The Road by Cormac McCarthy (a re-read for me). Still as grim, horrific, and strangely beautiful as ever. #booksky 📚

American 🇺🇸 craft beer haul. Trillium is always a favorite, but looking forward to diving into some hazy craft goodness with Phase Three Brewing and Mortalis Brewing Company for the first time. #BskyBeer

First visit to The Victoria & Commercial pub in Leeds. Beautiful setting, buzzy vibe, and a great selection at the bar. I think I'm in love. #BskyBeer

July at work was non-stop. Picked up these beers at the end of the month as a reward, but only just found the time to sit down with them tonight. First time trying anything from these breweries. #bskybeer

Leeds again at the weekend, finally visiting Northern Monk. Had a real London or NY energy with street art, music, and people milling around the mix of old industrial mills and new builds. Ended with a pint at The Cross Keys and by one by the barges at SALT Granary Wharf. #BskyBeer

First game of the season after missing @wdcfc.bsky.social opening two defeats. Went to Garforth Town in the FA Cup not expecting much, but a solid, hard-fought performance earned a 1-1 draw and a replay. #FACup

I’ve never quite taken to The Hundred, usually preferring longer formats of cricket. But watching Manchester Super Giants beat Welsh Fire yesterday was a good afternoon out. A 3 pm start meant lots of families and short beer queues. 🏏 #TheHundred

Just finished Supremacy by Parmy Olson. It is an eye-opening look at how AI went from trying to save the world to just chasing corporate profits. Altman and Hassabis set out with noble ideals, but compute costs forced both into the arms of Big Tech. Market dominance wins out. 📚 #BookSky
