Scrapping the Future Homes Standard will deliver cost reductions for developers, but it’s hugely unlikely they’d be passed on to buyers and those buyers would be left with homes that cost thousands of pounds a year more to run.

I joined because of the people locally. We’ve got a lot of councillors elected and have many clever and thoughtful people. The large uptick in membership hasnt added many active volunteers, which is what we need and where the long term gains arise.
