nonce-goggles at a distance, they will be my last pair. Back to wire frame glasses at the next prescription change....

I really hope the backlash to these devices ends Ray Ban. That will act as a massive lesson to other fashion brands not to get involved with the Tech Bro narcissists. I have a pair of (prescription) Oakley frame specs, and as they are effectively black plastic frames could be mistaken for

Is it not to do with the promise only applying to 30 states? (ie, the ones that voted for him the last time). So it's gerrymandering of a sort.

It's time to roll out this masterpiece again....

Various land owning / pro-shooting-estate orgs are pushing this bullshit hard on Facebook etc. They're trying to discredit and or destroy re-wilding efforts in a bid to prevent expansion of such efforts. This isn't just the Daily Heil / ragtops. I suspect (but cannot prove) that there is money

Are they taking bets on whether or not Fartage will be in prison by the next election....

I'm not an expert in anything medical, but a long time ago I predicted that Andrew Wakefield (the original MMR conspiracy nutter) would end up indirectly causing more deaths than the X (insert preferred mass casualty war/disaster/thing here). This was shortly after he fled the UK for the USA....

Are you able to obtain the cut footage and put it on YouTube? Or for a laugh get a backdrop of NPR and greenscreen yourself answering the Qs and upload that. Reduces their ability to cut your honest answers if you have right to reply, albeit by YouTube

Well, it's been a good run. RIP Easyjet. Nothing good comes of private equity.

Unless things have changed in flight training, the ab-initio pilots still do!

They're in the car selling business. Some cars sell on efficiency, some on size, others on power and speed. All things being equal the company that gets my business is the one that makes the best handling and quickest car in the price bracket. EVs are great, better them than some old diesel shitbox.
July 2, 2026 at 12:53 PM
That doesn't sell quite so well....

It's largely a function of huge batteries. If you have an 80kWh battery it's trivially cheap to install a motor that can accept a 5C discharge rate (5x80=400kW/530hp). Seeing as the large battery is required for both the range and to accept fast charging this is why high power EVs are a thing.

The problem with this approach is that you invariably want to rent the 'capability special' on some busy holiday weekend when demand outstrips availability 10-1 and you can't hire one for love nor money. Then owning your own capability (often a only a small monthly premium) pays for itself....

Wow, only two doors and a tailgate!! With 5 kids. And my wife won't let me buy a 2 door 4 seat car with only one child.....🤣

I still joke it was Scotland's fault. If we Scots hadn't remained in the Union (on a legally binding vote) then Cameron's premiership wouldn't have survived and no subsequent Tory leader would ever have dared hold a referendum on anything ever again...

As others have said it's stranded wind in Scotland due to transmission capacity limits being reached. The giveaway is that we're sending nearly 900MW to Norway....

bather load and a motherlovin HUGE ass filtration system back-of-house with almost all of them now having computer controlled automatic dosing of chlorine. Plus most also have Ultra Violet light sterilization systems now too. For all their faults British Council run pools are the gold star standard

nitrogen. Vegas, with their shitty trickle feed chlorinators cannot keep up with the demand, hence 'people soup'. Oh, and birdshit in the pools doesn't help....
The big irony is that the absolute best pool to swim in (if you're British), will be your local council pool. Absolutely tiny

throat. Vegas only gets away with this because trichloramine is actually a volatile vapour and comes out the water and is blown away in the wind in outdoor pools. To get rid of trichloramine, counter-intuitively, you need MORE free chlorine. This then reacts the ammonia down to harmless
May 17, 2026 at 10:35 AM
What little free chlorine there is. Incidentally, when you can smell the whiff of chlorine, this isn't actually fre chlorine, it's chlorine that's reacted with ammonia compounds in the pool water (read; piss) to form a nasty compound called trichloramine. This stinks and irritates your eyes &
