Private here means not a plc: so shares cannot be offered to the general public for sale. It's uncommon as the shareholders have significant control of the party. It confirms the party is effectively Farage's as he holds majority of shares, but that control could exist in ltd by guarantee co too

It is a private limited company with shareholders but is registered as a political party with the Electoral Commission so is a party. Conservatives and Lib Dems are incorporated as a company limited by guarantee, Labour is complex. Reform being a private company is not as bad as many make out.

How much would it cost to have batteries for 7 days’ uk supply in the middle of winter, in particular after we transition heating and transport to electrical power?

But that 1GWh solar/battery system can hold less than 20 minutes of HPC 3.2GWh generation. And at 1,800 hectares it occupies 3,600% more land than HPC at under 50ha. It’s still nowhere near a replacement for the ability of nuclear to displace fossil fuels
