Finally back in Photoshop I imported the audio bytes as image bytes to see the result and saved it out to this final PNG :)

I imported the original image as mono audio and the edited image as another mono audio. The original track I applied a Phaser effect to, and the modified track I applied a Reverb effect to. I made a stereo track with those as left and right tracks, mixed them to mono, and exported the raw bytes >

The image of the 'text' above is what I actually decided to use for today bc it's shockingly pretty. But then I used NP++ rectangular editing to grab chunks of lines and move them forward or back, removed all the newlines, and saved it to a new file. Then I opened Audacity >
