Dr Anne Webster is the Shadow Minister for Local Government, Regional Development and Territories, and the Shadow Minister for Regional Communications. She is the Nationals member for the Division of Mallee in north-western Victoria.
Aged care access is failing Mallee families. I’m hosting a tri-state forum in Mildura on 23rd September to hear directly from providers and constituents. To attend, email anne.webster.mp@aph.gov.au.

Welcome to Country ceremonies cannot replace action. Closing the Gap outcomes remain poor in remote communities. We need practical solutions, not more virtue signalling.

Energy policy should make life easier, not more expensive
September 11, 2026 at 2:06 AM
Veterans deserve respect, not cartoons. Andrew Hastie and Angus Taylor are right to call for One Nation’s cartoon to be taken down.

Labor’s treatment of veterans is the real issue. The $5,000 allied health cap must go, and the Veterans’ Affairs Minister should stand aside.

What a privilege to see the first Australian flag made from the winning 1901 design. A special reminder of the history that unites us. 🇦🇺

Two plus two equals five. Labor’s climate “misinformation” crackdown risks turning legitimate questions about energy prices and reliability into forbidden thinking.
September 9, 2026 at 6:30 AM
Labor's 'Ministry of Truth' is at it again. The Climate Change Authority wants to crack down on so-called 'climate misinformation', including discussion about 'renewables' impact on power prices, grid reliability, the environment and regional communities.

An extra $1,600 a year could force pensioner couples to choose between health insurance, groceries and heating. Labor needs to rethink this.
September 7, 2026 at 6:38 AM
Our flag belongs to every Australian. It unites us, honours our history and respects those who served. I strongly support protecting it.

Backpackers aren’t Labor’s migration problem. They’re skilled workers farmers rely on every harvest. Labor has put the brakes on them. The harvest won’t wait for Albo and Tony Burke to fix their mess.
September 6, 2026 at 3:43 AM
Labor is threatening a bumper Mallee harvest by pumping the brakes on the workers needed to harvest them. The crop won’t wait.
September 4, 2026 at 7:52 AM
Harvest won’t wait for Labor to sort out their visa mess. Mallee farmers are waiting up to 40 days for visas that should take one day. They need workers now.

Labor has governed Victoria for 16 of 20 years. Now we have 500,000 potholes and Ben Carroll wants credit for filling them. Fix our roads.
September 1, 2026 at 1:53 AM
Well, that's the pot calling the kettle black. Anthony Albanese accuses others of division, but Labor has built its politics on it. Australians want leadership that brings people together and focuses on the issues hurting families, not more lectures from Canberra.

‘Social licence - what social licence?’ The PM doesn’t have a clue. Farmers have been demanding it from Labor for years. And he’s been ignoring them.
August 27, 2026 at 11:35 PM
After October 7, we saw vile protests, hate speech and calls for violence. Labor must empower police and intelligence agencies to stamp out antisemitism and extremism.

Mallee has 3,000 senior footballers + thousands of juniors. AFL stars are role models. Higher standards matter. Bad behaviour cannot be normalised.
August 19, 2026 at 11:32 PM
A huge win for Mallee farmers. The Victorian coalition will scrap VNI West. Prime agricultural land should produce food, not industrial energy projects.

Michael Klim’s story is a powerful reminder that behind every diagnosis is a person. Proud to hear Michael, Melissa Cleary and my friend Dr Nick Coatsworth speak about the difference innovative medicines can make.

Aged Care Minister Challenged Over Labor's 230,000-Person Waitlist
August 18, 2026 at 5:44 AM
Law-abiding firearm owners aren’t the problem. Australia needs targeted action against radicalised extremists who threaten our community.
August 17, 2026 at 7:00 AM
Labor’s policies are squeezing farmers and locking up productive land. Food security is at stake, and every Australian should care.
August 17, 2026 at 5:00 AM
Labor's $11 billion tax grab is making private health insurance unaffordable for older Australians, pushing more people into an already stretched public system.
August 14, 2026 at 6:06 AM
Neurological care should not depend on your postcode. Regional Australians already travel further and wait longer for specialist care. Labor must act.
August 13, 2026 at 1:20 AM
Lou is in his 90s, legally blind and now in palliative care. He has waited 18 months for home support. Regional Australians deserve better than Labor’s aged care failures.
