Artist unknown, bought from a charity shop in St Helens last year. I'm guessing the best way to describe the style would be 'naive'. It's obviously been painted with love but blimey, the eyes do follow you around the room!

I'm originally from St Helens and I can't understand how a town built on glass works and coal mining has gone to Reform.

I recently read this book and it shows how caring for people mining communities were. Today spits in the face of our parents and grandparents.
