Two income households are required to stay afloat. There’s no childcare or real maternity/paternity leave. The average birth used to cost $30k, god knows what it is now.

Given the overlap between laboratory sciences and textile hobbies, I wonder how many fellow nerds have crocheted or knitted their sequence patterns. 🧪🧶

I’m going back to the magazine racks at hippie stores and tiny book stores, looking for self published “zines” of folded and stapled art.
