On the east, a lighthouse, the docks (where a familiar tin of crab meat can be spotted), a ferris wheel, the 'Black Island' castle (where Ranko lives) and the moon rocket.

On the south, a small park and the beach. Professor Phostle (Calys in the original version) lives in the observatory.

Close to the village is the train station, as seen at the beginning of 'The Seven Crystal Balls'. The train is coming from Brussels and going to Louvain-la-Neuve.

On the west, there's the historic Marlinspike (Moulinsart in the original version) village, complete with its plowing fields.
