I woke up and Cruel Angel's Thesis was somehow already on loop in my head

I see a book that looks super cool but then I notice its blurbed by Eric LaRocca and unfortunately I know I won't enjoy things he promotes

Reading River of Souls, which is the last WoT thing I have left to read if I'm not mistaken. Wild (Wyld?) how I spent so long thinking Taim was Demandred up until the final battle and now I'm just watching him be potentially the most human of the forsaken

Finally! A google search of mine was so senseless without context that the AI overview couldn’t scrape up a shitty “answer” to my query.

Thank you Wheel of Time

Don’t worry. Abigail wants you. She’s always wanted you.

So I haven’t watched any critical role in the last couple months between being super busy & realizing they were on a break from c4.

HOW did I miss the news that Vico Ortiz is in the new Age of Umbra stuff??? Fuck, they’re so cool

Rosamund Pike is so pretty. I love her as Moiraine even if I may not love this show as a whole

Watching only the best media today.

AEW All In followed by restarting the X-Files (I’ve still got Gillian Anderson on the mind after Camp Miasma)

Still reeling from Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma.

I never know how to talk about movies but what a delightfully unmoored and deeply personal film that isn’t afraid to be topical or weird.

Does it ever feel like you're in a cage being watched?

Well, you are. By Flock cameras, thanks to Mike Rogers.

Huge thread of all the titles I read during this year’s summer reading:

Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke: 3.75⭐️
Light from Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki: 3.75⭐️
Heartstopper vol.5 by Alice Oseman: 4⭐️
Eight o Clock in the Morning by Ray Nelson (left unrated)

As I won’t have much free time the rest of this week, I figured I’d grab my summer reading log now.

Hitting it more than thrice over is pretty neat if I do say so myself.

The Salt King by Natasha Pulley has a vice grip on my brain.

Highly annoyed by readers who give low ratings to book and their review is only “purple prose.”

9 times out of 10 it isn’t even purple prose. More often than not, there isn’t even flowery language used throughout, let alone purple.

If I wasn’t already well aware of how gay I am, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead would have been my gay awakening

Without a shadow of a doubt.

I know someone who proposed to her partner with a sword and god I love that so much.

…Not me seeing this after throwing my back out by my unconscious morning stretching
we all know this classic way

Unless you truly dislike tonic water, I *highly* recommend trying an espresso or moka tonic.

Like damn, this is weird but so so good

this. stop. direct harm and directly used to bully and also influence political decisions.
Please stop paying for anything Harry Potter. This is where your money is going.

At this point, you're not an ally, you're an abuser and we're your victim.

At least I made it a full week in my new place without incident...

Day 8 I threw out my back though 😅

Every time some loser uses an AI generated image to promote libraries, a librarian loses their wings

My library does separate summer reading challenges for children, teens, and adults, but we also do a staff challenge.

This and the leaderboard posted in the office is exactly what my competitive ass needed to get my reading habits back on track.
