I finished the entire Empyrean series by Yarros so far. Crazy cliffhanger. The chase in the third book was a bit of a let down. So much buildup and then ... So little.

Finished reading The Grownup. The first page was what I saw on Twitter, which led me to borrow it. The length of the book shocked me with how short it was. Kinda fascinating

Finished reading Iron Flame, the second book in the series. Crazy twist! I was 27th in line but somehow I managed to get lucky with a "skip the line" copy. I went to put the third book on hold in case there was going to be a wait, but to my surprise, no wait at all! I managed to snag a copy

Finished reading A Wizard of Earthsea today. Really inspiring stuff, and I was surprised about when the book had come out. You can really tell how books are written with different prose in different times. The afterword really sticks with me too .....

Finished reading The Demon Star today. Hmm. Its quite violent and I think has the potential for a trilogy. Not too bad for a debut novel. The demons and the place they come from reminds me a little of Bartimaeus by Jonathan Stroud.

I finished The Birthgrave today. It was sort of a confusing read at first, but I got through it and the ending made sense.

The folly of placing ten books at once on hold from my Libby library app and then knowing theyre going to all coalesce into the single reality that they will be available all at once. Like staring at a tsunami

Finished Neuromancer. I can see why it was the foundation setting novel for that genre for sure. Bet it hit the literary community like the drugs Case was taking, back in the day

It's Juneteenth. Today is extra important to contemplate humanity's eternal struggle for freedom. It's inherent in us.
