It gets on my nerves how often I see video game comedy sketches on youtube that are like "poison logic in video games" or "dealing with NPCs in video games" and it's just Skyrim. They're just parodying Skyrim. Vast genres, series, tropes out there and it's always Skyrim. It's ALWAYS Skyrim.

Just got home from Anime St. Louis. Having @prozdishere.bsky.social in the audience while I sang karaoke was not something I expected, so that was cool. I also got to meet him in person!

It's weird, I am completely happy, excited even to throw myself at a brick wall until it crumbles in single player/PVE content because I absolutely love that feeling of overcoming an obstacle, but the second it's against another player I'm ready to chew through solid oak.

Slay the Spire 2 is fucking incredible so far. Maybe just a touch too easy, but absolutely satisfying. I've played for 5 and a half hours straight and I didn't even realize it.

I wish I had a succinct way to explain to people that taking a bullshit death or making a leap of faith in old games isn't bad design, it's a different teaching too. It's literally just "How was I supposed to know?" "Well now you DO know." Games are so much more fun when you play to learn.

Tried Arknight Endfield. Gave it roughly an hour or so. It's...fine. But I really feel like I could be playing a better game. I don't think it's bad, it'll definitely be something people love. But it's not doing anything remotely interesting either.
