yeah it is still a bad album for reasons you alluded to in your review but fixing the "garbage can lid" snare makes it more comparable to their other output from that era

there's a version of the album floating around where someone replaced the drum tracks on that album with conventional sounding drum tones and it is pretty funny how much just that makes an improvement for it

My friends and I painted this Tiamat a couple years ago for our “3D Print Guy” to use in his own campaign. Great model and I hope you like what we did with it 🙂

TC took a hardline against nazis pretty early on from what I understand. I haven't played a game of it yet but I've finished a couple minis for it, they're a joy to paint. Good concept art and art direction can really carry a setting

whether this is an intended part of their portrayal or not is a separate argument but I think the moral character of Joel's dilemma (as he perceives it) and much more importantly his lying about it afterward are not really impacted. as far as I know those are the things people like? so

there's no "cinemasins type response" necessary to think the fireflies can't do it. their leader is introduced bleeding out from a gutshot and their ability to manage crisis is the same textually throughout. but the main characters don't see it that way, so it's not relevant to their personal drama
