I grew up in a 100+ yr old farm house. Didn't have a proper sewage system, it was supposed to be a secret. In retrospect, think it let out in the creek we played in. Hand dug well sometimes ran dry, sometimes tasted wrong because animals died in it. Chopped trees from our woods to heat the house.

Just 2, to my grandparents. My Grandma was the youngest of 13. Her family was so poor she legit got a corncob "doll" for Christmas like Laura Ingalls.
