I guess that depends since some people might experience pain like cramps or headaches while others would feel fine. An article written by Snopes says that its considerably rare when it does happen as it depends on other factors like dehydration, heat exhaustion, or any other medical conditions.

Hi! I used to study speech therapy for a while and can say that water at room temperature is pretty normal, at least for regular hydration as cold water is prinarily used after exercises to cool down, plus its easier on sensitive teeth as it does not have the internal shock cold water would.
