The power surged my building during the final exam causing the room locks to click locked and unlocked multiple times and the students looked at me panicked.
The kids are doing their best but they are stressed this finals season.

You guys it’s the weekend before Thanksgiving and my AC is still blasting and the ceiling fan is still on. I’m well aware we don’t get real winter here in south Texas but dammit I just want my 75 degree November when I can open the windows. Is that too much to ask for?

It’s that time of year in central Texas when everyone else is talking about the coming of “fall” and you steel your soul because you still have two more months of heat before it cools down in any meaningful way.

Well it’s official now, the email has gone out— I will be one of the Editors of Church History starting this summer. Brandon Bayne and I will be holding down all of the American Christianity section— for submissions related to ALL of the Americas. I’m really excited!

Cats were both sound asleep when their heads suddenly popped up and the floor lamps started to sway. As a Californian I know a quake when I feel one and yup, it was just south east of us in Karnes County. 4.5. Real weird to feel that here. #earthquake

Just over here charging up my Jackery, solar camping lights and making sure my headlamp has plenty of batteries. Texas, I don’t trust your triflin’ self when it comes to winter weather.

I’m gonna be a grump but I hate the Macy-fied beginning of the Rose Parade these days. This should be high stepping bands, horses and floats and that’s it. Give me a real parade. #roseparade

Crazy sounds coming from an electrical outlet so I unplug stuff and call for help. Repair guy shows up and is like “yeah it’s wired totally wrong” and I’m like “wait what?” And he’s like “yeah it’s been an issue here.” Anyway I was about to Evacuate the cats and I but now it’s fixed I guess? 🤷🏽♀️
