I'm so sorry you had to deal with someone like her so close to home. She is a disgrace to the community and I think she has even gone so far as to defend murderers. No one like that should be anywhere near disable people or their families.

I remembered hearing of her more than a decade ago. I was so furious and scared to know how much power parents like her could have while the neurodiversity movement was still small. Because my family was not much different, it took me a long time to trust NT parent advocates in general.

Nope. I'm not sure he has even brought more awareness to the public of how corrupt our system really is. People think it will all go "back to normal" once he's out if the office.

I've been trying to tell people this for years! This was my reality during and shortly after my college years, as I was never taught the skills needed to find jobs, and had to teach myself. I can't even imagine how much harder it is for those who are unable to work at all!
