Well, this is fantastic. Gloria Steinem had already fully clocked Dolly Parton as a feminist and working-class hero forty years ago and was honoring her in that spirit. Kudos to @msmagazine.com for putting this up. I'm so glad both these women were celebrated and appreciated in their lifetimes.
Back in 1987, Steinem wrote about Dolly. Seems appropriate to share today.
