Remember how cats can be empathetic and intuit your moods? Well, my mental health recently took a huge nosedive and my boy, Mario, noticed. He becomes anxious when I’m anxious and when he’s very anxious, he urinates in inappropriate places, usually in front of me and/or safe people.

When someone on social media says PEOPLE ARENT FREAKING OUT ENOUGH ABOUT THIS:
-take a breath.
-know that person is scared / in pain, and grant them some grace. (they may also be engagement farming but let's ignore that)

Had my regular psych appointment yesterday and somehow our conversation naturally veered to my gender identity, including my gender dysphoria/euphoria. This was an emotionally wrought discussion where my psych validated my transness.

gaiman slinking back into the world is why i always bristle at folks decrying "cancel culture" as some kind of danger. none of these dudes are ever voided, at worst they get an inconvenient year of not being fawned over and then they come back and just peddle the same shit to a smaller audience.

I feel this in my bones, particularly with fandom — where fanart not only connects people through a mutual love of characters, worlds, stories, etc. but it also offers opportunities for artists to collaborate, learn together and network.
i think I despise genAI because art is one of the things that has kept me alive and breathing and genAI is yet another way for capital to pervert art and stop us from connecting with each other
