A few years ago I was asked to be a small part of Project Hail Mary. This is a selection of designs from my first few passes on Rocky, our main directive was to find interesting ways to play with asymmetry, silhouette and texture while I took some attempts to imbue ways to depict culture

@hankgreen.bsky.social I wish there was a break timer option in Focus Friend without having to complete a focus sesh first. It would be nice if you could pick whether or not it still blocks apps. Just an idea! ☀️

What might be my favourite fossil has been just published by Kiat et al. 2025. Years ago I saw a pic of this Anchiornis specimen in nat geo article and I audibly gasped.preserving not only the feathers but also the original patterns as well. I made this drawing on the spot. Maybe its time to do v2.0

🎉Happy Birthday to Edmund Dulac, who was born on this day 1882!
A favorite of the Golden Age of Illustration, Dulac was one of the few artists with technical skill to rival the likes of Arthur Rackham and Beatrix Potter. His twilight soaked imagery is dreamlike and otherworldly.🧵
