Chuffed to connect with the Red-footed Falcon on my inland Patch at North Duffield Carrs yesterday afternoon. I'd been there for 4 hours in the morning! On returning home news had me retracing my steps. An excellent find by Chris Gomersall. It was my 171st Species for the Reserve

Chuffed to connect with the Red-footed Falcon on my inland Patch at North Duffield Carrs yesterday afternoon. I'd been there for 4 hours in the morning! On returning home news had me retracing my steps. An excellent find by Chris Gomersall. It was my 171st Species for the Reserve

Drake Goosander on the Riverbank was the highlight of yesterday's visit to North Duffield Carrs. Also added Peregrine to the Year List. The Spotted Redshank continues, associating with 10 Redshank and 4 Ruff. Oystercatcher numbers up to 4. Nice to see some Whooper Swans (14) close...

My earliest ever Sand Martins (2) today at North Duffield Carrs. Also, 6 Russian White-fronted Geese, Egyptian Goose, Goldeneye pr, c200 Black-tailed Godwits, Willow Tit and Chiffchaff.
