And these aren’t little branch-line trains.
The new TransPennine Express will be 121 metres long, carry around 300 passengers and travel at up to 110mph.

An Azuma on an adventure. 800102 passes Leicester LIP in a lucky patch of sunshine on 1Z76 Newcastle to Bedford. This was one of two passenger trains operated by LNER to Bedford today, routed via Barrow Hill, Toton and the Midland Main Line. (30/08/26)
