Cancer update continued: my tastebuds were fried from the radiation and still aren’t healed yet so even if a doc approved me to eat anything but soft foods, I couldn’t taste it. So, the feeding tube isn’t so bad. But, so far I’m kicking cancer’s ass.

Cancer update: Today is 6 weeks after finishing radiation. I was so damn happy to get to ring that bell! They tell you that radiation doesn’t make you lose your hair like chemo does, but my hair is falling out in clumps. The good news is it’s growing back in too. TBC

Cancer update: Today is 6 weeks after finishing radiation. I was so damn happy to get to ring that bell! They tell you that radiation doesn’t make you lose your hair like chemo does, but my hair is falling out in clumps. The good news is it’s growing back in too. TBC

Cancer update: Week 3/6 in the bag. That’s right, I’m halfway there! As if I didn’t have enough to complain about now the radiation has apparently caused a UTI. I’m so ready for this to be over.
I’m still miserable, but I know I can do this.

Radiation week 2 of 6 is in the bag…started week 3 today.
The nausea is so bad, but to be honest the whole my-saliva-taste-like-salt water is the worst of my symptoms. I won’t give up…but I want to.

Ok. What am I doing wrong? Do I not have enough followers? Am I not following enough people? Do I need to use the proper hashtags? I made a post about fighting cancer a couple of days ago & crickets…no words of encouragement or promises of prayers…nothing. I’m starting to think ya’ll don’t like me.

pt 1- I realized tonight that I hadn’t told all my blue sky peeps what was going on with me. I’m fighting cancer…specifically oral cancer. I had surgery in December to remove the cancer, which meant removing my right jawbone & all of the lymph nodes in my neck (because the cancer had gotten to them)

The Christmas tree is up. Yes, this all the decorating I’m gonna do. Mom passed away this year…Christmas was her favorite holiday & she loved The Peanuts. I gave her this tree for Christmas one year. This is all I’m willing to do for the holiday.
