I was 11 years old on 9/11 and I wasn't phased by it upon first hearing about it. I knew that we bombed other countries. I saw Saddam Hussein on Animaniacs. I assumed other countries bombed us sometimes. My parents had to sit me down to explain why we're above the violence we inflict on others.

You know what, no, I DON'T have faith that the system that gave us Richard Nixon and under which the same exact things Nixon did are being done by the current administration can be fixed "incrementally."
