The River Doesn't Know How Far You've Come Some days, life gets so messy that you don't even know where to begin untangling it. You wake up with a hundred things running through your mind, responsibilities waiting at your doorstep, people needing you, and somewhere in between all of that, there is you. A little tired. A little frightened. Wondering when someone will finally ask how you're doing.

The Curves I Call Mine
The Curves I Call MineThey told me curves were something to hide.So I spent years learning how to fold myself into smaller spaces. But look at me now.Look at these curves. They are not mistakes waiting to be corrected. They are the soft geography of a body that has carried me through everything.Every bend, every little line, every place where my body refuses to be straight,I love it.There is something so beautifully human about curves. The way they move when I walk. The way they sway when I dance. The way they become a silhouette under the evening light.I don't need someone else's hands to tell me that I am beautiful.I can look at myself and know.I can dress myself for myself.Dance for myself.Touch my own skin with tenderness.Stand before the mirror and whisper,"There you are."Not perfect. Not polished. Not made for anybody's approval.Just me.Soft where I am soft.Strong where I am strong.A little wild.A little sensual.A little ridiculous when the music comes on.And completely, beautifully, mine. These curves are not something I need to apologize for. They are simply another waymy body learnedto becomehome.

The Sensuousness of Words
They saysensuousness lives in the body,in the curve of a waist, the warmth of a hand, the quiet invitation of a gaze. But I disagree.Sometimesit lives in a sentence. In the way a wordlingers a little longerthan it should. In the soft bend of a letter, the slow unfolding of a thought, the pause between Iand love. There is something almost intimateabout writing your nameand watching the inklean toward the next word.Perhaps that is why poetryhas always felt dangerous to me.Because nothing touches you,and yet somehoweverything does.A line can undress a memorywithout revealing a body.A metaphor can brush against the skinand leave no fingerprint.A comma can make you wait.A full stop can make you ache. And sometimes, the most sensual thinga person can dois choose a word carefullyand leave the restto your imagination. So no,sensuousness does not live onlyin the curves of a body.It lives in the curves of language. In the way a sentence bendsbefore it reaches its meaning. In the breath between two words. In the silence after a confession. In the softness with whichsomeone says your name. And perhaps the most beautiful kind of desireis not the one that asks to be touched, but the one that makes youwant to keep reading.

At first, it was unbearable, and then slowly I learned how to live with it. I learned to smile, to celebrate, to brush away the ache whenever Rakhi came. But this year, I don't know what happened.

They say you were lucky. They say you had the power to shatter the walls I built, to bring my fortress crumbling down. But no one asks how tired I was of guarding those gates. No one saw how often I stood behind those cold iron doors, wishing for a knock, wishing for courage that I could not find on my own.

The Road Was Never Saying StopThey told meproblems were walls. So I used to stand before them, staring, wondering why lifekept closing doorsin my face.Until one dayI looked closer. The wall had cracks. The road had turns. The door had another key.And suddenly I understood.Maybe problemswere never stop signs.Maybe they weredirections.A broken hearttaught me whereI needed tenderness.A failureshowed me whereI needed to grow.A wrong turnintroduced meto a roadI would have never foundotherwise. And every timeI thought,"Why is this happening to me?"Life quietly answered,"Look again."So I stopped askingfor an easier road.I started askingwhat the roadwas trying to teach me.Sometimesthe answer was patience.Sometimes courage.Sometimes letting go.Sometimes beginning againwith trembling handsand a heartthat wasn't quite ready. But I kept walking.Because perhapsthe universe doesn'talways whisper,"Go this way."Sometimes it placesa problem in your pathand waits for youto become curious. So now, when life puts a mountainin front of me,I don't immediately turn back.I look at it.I breathe.I ask,"What are you hereto teach me?"And then I climb. Not becausethe mountain is easy. But becausesome roadsonly reveal themselvesafter you begin.Problems are notthe end of the journey.Sometimes, they are the signpostspointing towardthe personyou were meant to become.

People keep saying, “It’s not love. It’s just attraction. Just infatuation.” But I keep wondering… can something be called mere infatuation when that person becomes so important to you? Maybe I see the difference differently. Infatuation is having another option and still being excited by someone. Love is having a thousand options and still choosing the same person. Infatuation is being attracted to someone and loving what they show you.

THE Moments RIGHT NOW
Some Moments Are Not Meant to Be Captured I almost took a picture. Then another. And another. Because the sky kept changing. Blue became orange. Orange became gold. Clouds that were strangers a few minutes ago started gathering together, slowly, quietly, like they had somewhere to be. Birds were flying home. Dragonflies disappeared between the colours. The grass was dancing.

One thing I've realized recently is that we judge people far too quickly. We call someone lazy. What if they're exhausted? We call someone rude. What if they're grieving? We call someone weak. What if they've been fighting battles they never spoke about? The truth is... We're all reading different books while judging others by a single page. I've met people who looked happy but cried themselves to sleep.
