I’ve wondered since Saturday what happened to all the gunfire? There were more shots than ever were accounted for — and none sounded like a shotgun. And now it looks like the suspect never fired a weapon at all and all the gunfire was by the Secret Service:
I think what they are trying to avoid saying is this: (1) the perp never fired a shot; (2) one or more security personnel fired shots but missed him.

Which suggests that the Secret Service person who got hit in his bulletproof vest was a friendly fire victim.

The White House bunker has never been intended to be a place a president would actually run a crisis from long-term. Why is Trump evidently trying to change that now & build a super-bunker? There's no scenario I can think of where this makes sense—except one: www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/the-troubl...

As the U.S. gets dragged into yet another endless war in the Middle East by Donald Trump, at a bare minimum the American people deserve someone heading up the NSA who won’t have to learn on the job while defending our country against cyber attacks.

The government can legally scoop up and read Americans' emails and texts, track everywhere they go, and feed huge amounts of data into AI without court oversight. Next month, Congress will have a chance to rein it all in. I'm leading a bipartisan bill to restore real privacy.
NEW: A bipartisan group of lawmakers introduced a bill requiring warrants for FBI searches of Americans' communications under FISA, aligning federal law w/ a 2025 ruling that found the practice unconstitutional.

It would also ban the government from buying Americans' private data from data brokers.
