It's almost as if an LLM is a mathematical function that interpolates patterns found in natural languages. If it is trained on text like "a.b()" and "b.c()", it is probabilistically likely for "a.c()" to exist. So that's what it spits out. Because it can't think or reason.

This is why I start projects, learn so much while writing it that I have to start over because I can do it better from scratch. I have so many unfinished projects.

I fully agree. To me, programming is fun. I didn't study it to pump out 10k lines of code every day, but because I enjoy the process. I ask questions first and write code later, an LLM writes code first and asks questions later. With the latter approach, hidden mistakes are inevitable.

Exactly. They generate something that _looks plausible_ if you squint your eyes at it. It works from the outside in, rather than from the inside out.
