The answer to our political funding crisis is simple and obvious. It would send our politics in the opposite direction to its current, disastrous trajectory. So why won't Labour MPs pick it up?

Political donations are poison to our democracy – but there’s an easy antidote to that | George Monbiot
As revelations about Reform UK’s donors emerge, it’s clear that increasingly complex forms of patronage can’t be regulated effectively. We need a clean sweep, says columnist George Monbiot

This week's column is about the Starmer-like self-destruction of the impending decision to approve new oil and gas drilling in the North Sea. It might appease certain lobby groups, but it sabotages Burnham's own project and drives voters away. Utter madness. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

The balaclava blackshirted thugs are a result of a decade of politicians, tabloids and the broadcast media telling racists they have "legitimate concerns."

The normalisation of actual fascism rhetoric and action has led to this and is a far greater "legitimate concern" than any migrant on a boat.

AND the Met Police are stalling on investigating it as a trafficking operation.

That means many associates could escape.

Please support this. Justice matters. Citizen voices matter.

Powerful men must not be allowed to exploit, abuse and traffic women and girls. They should not walk away without consequence.

It's not enough to know those men are no longer with us - the system that let this happen has to change.
