Documents released by a watchdog group suggest that despite Trump's promise to fund Freedom 250 events through private donations, taxpayers largely footed the bill.

The budget estimates leave open questions about where tens of millions in private donations ended up.

Impossible to understand how anyone could look at Rufo's career and conclude he was someone engaged in a "forthright defense of meritocracy." Rufo's entire career is built on the idea of purging people who don't think or look like him from positions of power.

Vought is breaking the law but he is not “going rogue.” At his confirmation hearings, Vought told Republicans he would do this and they voted for him anyway. If they want to stop him, they still can via impeachment. They won’t.
Congress funded the CDC's Alzheimer's work, the sickle cell and epilepsy data programs and a rape prevention unit, and Vought simply will not release the money. Grassley told him to his face he lacks the authority. The pocket rescission alone took 4.9 billion.
Republicans furious as Trump’s budget director goes 'rogue'
The director of the Office of Management and Budget is infuriating Republican lawmakers by "going rogue" on what appropriations were approved by the House and Senate.

cannot stress enough that, until all ballots are counted, there's no outcome to flip!

i am finishing up the book REGIME CHANGE and the only real takeaway from it should be that the president is legitimately delusional and that the entire White House is structured to feed and defer to his delusions
It's a scandal that the president of the United States is out of his damn mind.
It's also a scandal that major news media aren't telling you that, loudly and often.

At this point the impact of DOGE on the deficit is it caused it to *increase*.
Predictable and predicted: "revenue from audits plunged 35% in fiscal year 2025, meaning billions of dollars in taxes went un-collected. The drop coincides with a 27% cut in enforcement and collection staffing at the IRS, as part of Elon Musk's campaign to boost government efficiency."

Quite the stain on our history that we now have a prolonged period of admitting zero (0) genuine refugees and instead slapping the label "refugee" on the apartheidists we are importing because they remind a single rich white nationalist of his childhood.
BREAKING: in June 2026, *every single one* of the 1,062 refugees admitted in the U.S. were white South Africans.

In FY 2026, the U.S. has admitted a total of 7,727 white South Africans, three Afghans (back in November), and nobody else.

For reference, the U.S. admitted 100,060 refugees in 2024.
