this is a very unpopular opinion but banning clients is so defeatist where's your ambition
computers are incredibly fast, your website should basically only ever be bottlenecked by network or disk speeds
11tb/day is 135mb/s, that's a number achievable by a shell script on a single core

I know it's unpopular to say because the scrapers are evil and stupid (and most of them are!) but I can't get over how small the numbers are in all of these posts.
18M/day is 200 qps, and there isn't even a bandwidth cost argument. Those are Raspberry Pi numbers.

Right but I had contractors using these translation apps with me in 2022 before they were made of large models. Facebook was auto-tagging people in photos a decade ago (contrary to the QT suggesting computer vision is new). Lots of “AI” things that are not based on large models are def useful.
