My theatre company needs to buy a van for touring and I’m looking for some funding avenues. I’ve applied to a couple of private foundations but not been successful - has anyone ever received funding for purchasing a vehicle? Would be interested to know where you applied! 🙏 #artsfunding #theatre

I would like to banish the idea that it's bad for creatives to want to be paid for our work--that if we're not doing it for love or scholarship or for posterity or out of sheer joy, we're selling out.

Here is an update on the Summerhall situation. No resolution with HMRC until mid-February so no payout for artists until then either unless something changes. More next week.

Last night’s dream involved a long loved star actor turning up in my Christmas show and flipping my theatrical fortunes upside down. Like some sort of live on stage Hallmark situation. Waking up to realise I haven’t had my big break and have run out of shampoo is rather dispiriting.
