Goodness sake if you go out on intermediate tyres on a fully wet track of course there will be no grip - this is where you need a Minardi to buck the groupthink and get on with it

I’m up for a full field of medical car spec Mercs going at it - would be fun
The FIA say there is a significant amount of standing water on the track and conditions are not suitable to start the race.

Is this halftime show a green screen pre-record - why no wide shots? #fifa

Does this mean FIFA can be removed from responsibility for running the game?
The half-time break at the World Cup final is expected to be around 30 minutes long in order to accommodate Fifa’s star-studded show — breaching the maximum time of 15 minutes permitted under the Laws of the Game

Been watching England in tournaments since 1990 - since then probably maximum 3 knock out games that haven’t felt really uncomfortable - and most of those were in 2018

Cannot get my head around the World Cup scheduling - appreciate time zones etc, but it’s Saturday night, surely you play at least one game at European prime time?

Am somewhat lost as to why the UK government thinks restricting social media for certain age groups is a better answer than, you know, regulating the firms & treating them as publishers

If this was the Monaco GP we’d being having a red flag and one lap standing restart #F1

Bonus fun fact - after F1 packed up and raced home at Spa in 1985 - F3000 stayed on and raced
Track break-up was a regular problem for Formula 1 races in the eighties - the 1982 Detroit Grand Prix and 1984 Dallas Grand Prix were badly affected.

The 1985 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa had to be postponed several months when the surface came apart: www.racefans.net/2008/06/07/w...

The disintegrating track surface at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is threatening the running of tomorrow's Canadian Grand Prix.

It’s so odd that Chris Mason & his colleagues are not inducing a ‘crunch moment’ for Farage. Why is he not obliged to explain how he became an MP pushing cryptocurrency after being given £5 million by a cryptocurrency billionaire?

Misses the point somewhat but I was doing live TV or circuit commentary for three of those, so if anyone really wants to force the FIAs hand I can dust off the microphone
NEW: The crashes F1 is trying to prevent may be rare – but the danger is obvious

Formula 1 is taking the implications of Oliver Bearman's Suzuka crash seriously. It could have easily have been much more dangerous.

Massive impact on cost of living, standard of living, living normally - all due to a totally unnecessary war. Utterly infuriating

Really can't bear the thought of energy-led restrictions due to a totally unnecessary war, not even five years since the last Covid lockdown.
