And some of those people are terrible and don’t believe in universal human rights. Are 100% of Dems good on 100% percent of things? Nope. But the alternative is things getting even worse. There is a very good chance that if Dems don’t take the House, 2028 might not even matter.

I think there is this idea on the left that the GOP just moved to where they are today in one election, when this has been a 40 year project. Representative democracy is messy, compromises have to happen. I understand not compromising human rights, but to get things done, you have to work w/ people

They won’t certify a Dem win in 2028 if the GOP controls the House.

If Dems control the House they can certify a Dem win in the 2028 election, if they don’t, there is a sizable chance it doesn’t and Vance becomes Prez, then you don’t have to worry about Trans rights as they will be eliminated. That is thinking about the more than the midterm.

If it comes down to a 51 Dem Senate, you would much rather have Fetterman than Oz. Should Fetterman be primaried? Yes, 100%. But control of committees matters for so many reasons and that includes preventing bills from seeing the floor. This is the same in the House.

She is proof that you can have fame and wealth and leave the world better because of it. It doesn’t have to be about getting that next million because everyone has value and that is who Dolly Parton is to me.

As a parent of a high school senior, it is a problem that this is only a conversation that is playing out on the right. There is a massive stratification of students who take AP and Dual-Credit courses in high school. It is adding another layer between upper and middle/lower class students.

Carville’s whole thing was using gimmicks and it lots of luck, and even then he was not very good at it. Don’t forget that he didn’t take Rick Santorum seriously. He is an old school southern Dem and the party left him 30 years ago and he won’t be missed.
