Damn, that sucks. I put 200 hours in the new Fantasy Life and I really enjoyed it. Was excited for the new Layton, but won't be buying it now.

I mean, setting aside the fact that Donkey Kong is a separate IP, mechanically it's essentially Super Mario Odyssey 2, so i cab see the logic there.
