The Dreams in the Witch House

Inspired by the H.P Lovecraft story of the same name. I will re-upload at some point when I can properly scan it in. I just loved it and wanted to share.
A twisted entryway with impossible angles and warped perspective. Outside the entryway, massive tentacles writhe in the distance to an unknown rhythm. You are not awake...not anymore. Somewhere in the distance you can hear monotonous drums and wailing flutes.

Prolix Firmament
I am at a loss of words. It seems we've found the code that unlocks the universe, and now eternity is in our hands. Should we not advance ourselves beyond the comprehensive boundaries of our own imaginations? Could we even push past what we can imagine? The limitations of thought are distinct in its boundaries despite the ocean it lives in. We have the minds to comprehend but not to understand the myriad anfractuosity and the minute nuances of imagination itself. Not imagination as an idea or concept, but as a thing which wholly exists beyond even our own universe, that vague impression of feeling akin to the cold. Should we even have this gift at all?

Transmission received, but from what?
Their voices, like a choir, rang out in variations of distorted sounds. These noises contorted their receivers bending metal alloys into shapes unrecognizable. Those who listened to it underwent a metamorphosis. Into what we do not know. We tried to answer their, or perhaps its, call, but our voices went unheard, as if there was no ear or device on the other end, nothing to listen in. Did we in error call out to something we metaphysically cannot understand or comprehend? If so, did we seal our fate?

A Shimmering Madness
The aurora surrounding the blackness, a circular shimmering rainbow, appeared almost as soon as this void had mounted the sky. As we approached, I felt myself growing more and more restless and manic, as if something unseen was in my head. I could feel every thought from joy to dread running rampant, it worsening the closer we approached. I attempted to gain control but found I could not bring myself to move, as if I was paralyzed. When I tried speaking, a slew of half-words fell and dribbled out in a nonsensical delirium akin to a screaming child masterfully playing a disharmonious piano whose hammers were old and worn.

Calling Out, Beyond
We drew the circles and dotted what lines we had to. Precision, yes, that was the name of the game here. To so completely disappear, one had to call down from that glass citadel between worlds with conviction. Any faltering faith would be punished with an unknown fate. The Black River beckoned and invited made our forms incorporeal, took our shapes, and disentangled us from this reality.

Keyhole
I slept that night, strangely comfortable, in that disquieting place. Noises with no source bled through the walls, creaks and groans of moisture warped wood, the feeling of being watched, and despite all this, I slept. I dreamt of dark clouds and acid rain, melting castles, and crystalline winds. A great jungle of fire raged in the distance and cries like banshees circled the sky in waving distortions. A figure emerged from the mountains, melting and crystallized, it slept, and the world dreamed. I awoke, and the vague image was left burned into my memory.
