Here's a narrowband image I took a couple of nights ago of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC). I've removed the stars to make it easier to see some of the structure, and because it's prettier 😀

Finally got my 3D printed Sol'Ex spectroheliograph setup and was able to take some images of the sun in Magnesium (b1) and Hydrogen alpha. There's also a white light image for comparison.

Here's a crop of the previous Milky Way mosaic. I love the two jellyfish-like creatures on the left (actually dust clouds much larger than our solar system), which look like they're swimming down into some terrifying abyss.

I took this mosaic image a few nights ago. It spans about 1/5 of the sky (35 degrees), and stretches from the tip of Scorpius's tail, across Sagittarius, and down into Scutum. It includes the center of our galaxy, and many of the most well known nebula in the sky.

This is a wide-field photo I took last night in the constellation Scorpius, centered on the star Antares - otherwise known as "the Heart of the Scorpion". This is an awesome area of the sky with many different types of objects. Check them out in my comments below.

Here's my new wide-field astrophotography rig. The ASKAR FMA135 scope is smaller than every other component of the telescope (camera, filter wheel, rotator and electronic focuser)! It also has a 3D printed electronic focuser, dew shield, support bracket, and adapter for the rotator #astrophotography
