Studio layoffs and wanting to cut down on how games can be accessed as their budgets and the platforms they’re on become increasingly more expensive is the issue.

We’re not getting it in the AAA space like we did 20+ years ago between dev times, cross gen, and games turning into platforms with various updates for years (if not a decade).
I was simply being nostalgic for how console gaming was before the PS4 gen.
