News today that Flinders Lane will pedestrianised! Kinda. The road will be raised to the same level as the footpaths and be closed to cars at busy times of the day. Cobblestone traffic calming devices will also be installed.

Love riding through this street in my neighbourhood. Filtered to prevent rat-running and a beautiful canopy of leaves to provide shade in summer. Trees are also on the street and not the footpath. Sometimes we get it right.

Hopefully the new deputy mayor of Yarra council, currently on stage at Carols by Candlelight, has taken notice of the large number of residents and families who have arrived here by bike.
