I was reminded the other day of a comment made by Tony Blair in 2006 which is so true today it is scary. I am paraphrasing but when asked about right or left in politics he replied it wasn’t about that any more it was about being “open” or “closed” we know who the closed are!!

Can we stop referring to the peace talks as if we are trying to reach a deal? This is not some low level commercial enterprise. This affects the lives of people all over the world. Too many are dying whilst we default to Trumpisms as if it is all normal. WW1 or WW2 didn’t end with a “deal”.
