honestly that’s exactly it!! I haven’t played other fire emblems so I feel like I shouldn’t comment about how it compares to the rest 🙈 but even comparing to other JRPGs - I do feel like intsys accomplished something very rare with how rich this game’s characters and universe feel

there’s a cutscene that shows rodrigue announcing his decision to abdicate to the rest right after Rufus’ death / before Dimitri is coronated. though they don’t give exact timelines when it’s formally transferred, I feel like it’s highly probable Felix was already the duke at Dimitri’s coronation
