Hit up the B&N by my house to nab a copy of Daggerbound, and...they were sold out! Not complaining, now I have an excuse to visit the local-but-farther-away bookshop this weekend. Plus, how often do authors get to say a store sold out of their book on publication day? Congrats, @tkingfisher.com!

Normally people complain that Stephen King books have bad endings, and the movies adaptations make them better....and then they go and take a book with a fantastic ending and make it awful. It kills me, I tells ya.

Murphy the bald eagle passed away last weekend. I got to see him at the WBS two summers ago and hoped to go back some day. He was such a neat bird and a great foster dad. This is a big loss for bird kind. May we all embody such love as Murphy showed to his kids, both the living and the rocky.

I've been getting spam calls every hour for the last three days. Blocking hasn't worked because they just change the number and keepn calling. Absent any other solutions, I've resorted to answering every other call with an assortment of uncomfortable sounds, such as:
