Now that the primary for Texas' senate seat is over and Talarico has won, there's a lot of talk about what opportunity remains for Jasmine Crockett. She has a fierce progressive spirit and great leadership skills...how about Speaker of the House? She could set a Democratic House on fire!

My thoughts on conditions in US detention centers...the deplorable conditions in these facilities is by design. They want detainees to be so miserable that they will beg to be voluntarily deported rather than being confined for an undetermined period of time in what amounts to absolute squalor.

Very uplifting to watch the 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony. 2,900 young men and women from 92 countries are competing. Feels like they are representing the "best of the best" in a globally united venue. There is hope yet for the future of our planet.

Heads Up: The Kennedy Center underwent a $250 million renovation in 2019, during Trump's first term. So no, this isn't about needed renovation. It's all about obliterating the legacy of a past president who is held in high esteem because he made our country a better place during his term in office.

Comment on Hilton defranchizing hotel that refused rooms for ICE agents: We use Hilton hotels almost exclusively when we travel...for comfort, warmth and hospitality. Don't want to see masked and armed thugs roaming the halls and in the breakfast room. Very bad business choice...you will regret it.

Anyone wonder why ICE, which are required to wear body cams by a 2022 Executive Order and 2/25 policy mostly do not wear them, supposedly due to "lack of funding"? Stop paying $50,000 salaries and $60,000 signing bonuses and fund training and equipping these people if they are legitimate.
