7 species of mammal at Upper Hollowfields Farm this evening whilst setting the moth trap; Roe & Muntjac Deer, Brown Hare, Rabbit, Fox, Bank Vole (caught by the Fox!) and a Badger trotting past me within two feet without a care!

Grimley quiet this morning. Juv Ringed Plover still, 2 GWE, eclipse Wigeon, 2 Egyptian Geese, Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Snipe. A Vestal in the WMBC car park plus a few Vapourer Moth, Clouded Yellow, Common Blue & Brown Argus best of the rest #worcsbirds #teammoth

Amongst the large numbers of Large Yellow Underwings again were a couple of gems in our north Worcestershire garden. New for the garden a Ni Moth and nfy a Dark Sword-grass. Also a few Rush Veneer underlining an influx of immigrant/migrant moths #teammoth

With the dry weather that much of the UK has experienced this summer, many of our wetland sites have dried up. We ask that counters still continue visiting dried up WeBS sites, as counts with zero birds is still incredibly important data. #zerohero

No Spotted Flycatcher seen at Chaddesley Woods this morning. The fields held 3 Yellowhammer, 8 Meadow Pipit, good nos of Skylark, 8 Swallow over, Yellow Wagtail in cabbage field. New for that patch list are 2 Sand Martin & a calling Green Sandpiper presumably from the fishing pools #worcsbirds

Sandpipers cleared out at Grimley this am. A Whinchat along the west hedge CLP. Wheatear at CFF also c150 Goldfinch. Steady stream of Meadow Pipit & Skylark over. Mandarin, 5 GWE, 2 Snipe CLP. c70 Swallow through 21 Clouded Yellow, Silver Y & 6 Rush Veneer in chicory field #worcsbirds #teammoth

Red Kite at the start of my 5 mile walk from home around Timberhonger. Other highlights; 6 Yellow Wagtail (mostly juvs) in proposed solar farm field, juv Redstart, 2 lemony Willow Warbler (brief song), c30 Swallow, c50 House Martin, 4 Clouded Yellow. Walk curtailed by local hunt.. #worcsbirds
