He commented “Tr*mp train” on my birthday post on Instagram and I feel fucking stupid and naive. I should’ve seen the signs. I WANT to believe people are capable of change. But I feel hopeless.

He eventually became a Trumper, and yet I still held out hope that he could “turn it around.” Maybe see my political posts and give them some thought.
