I’m gonna be a buzzkill here and say yesterday was our leakiest performance defensively and the only reason people are labelling it as good is because a) we won; b)their preferred midfiled started the game.

I will resist the impulse of writing a stupidly long thread and just go out and say that having dropped points in 3 of our first 4 PL games against bottom half opposition means we’re probably not doing anything of note this season and it sucks because we had the platform two seasons ago to build

I am also struggling with the rule about falling in love with loan players. He brings so much of what we desperately lack in a position of real need. If injuries weren’t a thing I’d seriously consider the buy option.

It’s not been perfect but I am very impressed that by his fourth game Iraola has already:
-Figured out our most balanced back 4
-Sussed Grav as a starter.
-Moved Frimps to the wing which suits him best
-Given Koumas serious minutes
-Platformed our attackers way better than whatever last season was
