I think it would absolutely tank the value of the Premier League in terms of a product to flog and a sporting competition for anyone to really take seriously for a generation

Well wouldn't that be interesting. And also something for us as fans to think about.

Also potentially a factor in the decision of the respective clubs to vote one way or another.

Do you know if the vote gets made public? As in would we find out who voted with Man City and who voted against?

For anyone still questioning the idea of sportswashing, why it's so bad really, or suggesting it's not actually that big a deal cos it means their club can benefit from it - this is it.

Throwing the weight of his political power as PM into looking after his own interests at the expense of the country, the national game and the "product" by offering support for Man City's owners

However tentatively he might think he's done it, he's still done it. And I think it'll damage him hugely

Suddenly he seems compromised by the UAE dealings on local land, investment and housing.

There's a threat to his mayoral legacy and he's immediately moved to try and protect it.

I can't imagine outside events interrupt their thoughts on many occasions tbh

I don't often struggle to form a cogent opinion on stuff like this, but I'm genuinely struggling. It's too big.

Implications for other clubs, for league integrity at every level wherever they may end up playing, for contracts for players and sponsors, missed earnings and opportunities and for everything that happens from here on, where they've already built the platform to be where they are

I slammed the round thing into the other round thing

Thankyou, I always like to play to my audience, it's a real strength of mine

I'd want to play starting point guard for that
