Still so damn funny to me that Toby Fox put “Jarona” in the game. I remember looking it up after playing the chapter expecting to find out it was a sensible reference to something I was unfamiliar with, and instead only finding other people asking “what the fuck is Jarona?!”

100%. The actual game you are playing is not superfluous! It actually *does* affect your experience! Baffling, I know!
The problem with the average 5E player is that they're playing a game that asks you to manage resources and get upset when you point out the game involves managing resources.

The majority of 5e players would be at least 3x happier playing something else designed to create the experience they actually want to have, but they don't and I don't understand why. Do they not know? Do they just not care?

its so embarrassing for us as species that “what if we remade old games/movies/whatevers that people already like, but worse, and we use modern technology to make them look ugly” seems to be a winning business model
i don't think the ocarina remake is ai, but it does that thing i hate with ai where it just crams detail into every surface and everything just turns into shiny visual mush
