OPINION: (RNS) — Most past disagreements between popes and presidents have happened during times of high suspicion regarding the Catholic Church. Each case is different from what we are seeing today.
Why the pope’s authority is confounding and maddening for Trump

Our confirmation class teacher today accidentally named Tim Curry instead of Michael Curry as the former Presiding Bishop, and now I’m imagining what that would have been like! ⚓️

When a body is so broken that it is entirely dependent on the care of others or a mind is basically gone, we are called to give dignity to what remains, for it still houses one created in the image of God.

One byproduct of everything that’s happening in this country right now is the realization that the people you could once go to for a modicum of comfort are no longer the people you can go to for a modicum of comfort.
It’s jarring. It’s unsettling. And it’s really, really hard.

Day 14 at the hospital with my mother. She is having a very hard time shaking of the anesthesia from yesterday's procedure. I pray that she gets better soon. As for me, well let's just say that I want to hibernate for about 6 months after she gets out. *sigh*
