The original. World building is thin and contradictory. Secondary characters act OOC to suit the plot. For a transmigrator into an OC-bad-guy, the protagonist has major plot armor. Minor villains are Stupid/Gullible & the ultimate villain's motivation is irrational. Crowd-pleaser tropes abound.

Also, of all of the Danmei web novels on JJWXC, how were After the Disabled God of War Became My Concubine, My Husband and I Sleep in a Coffin, and You’ve Got Mail: The Perils of Pigeon Post chosen by Seven Seas for print English editions??? But I digress...

I have reread the first book of MDZS a few times now. I will eventually reread the full thing. I plan to reread the TGCF arcs in chronological order. Guardian is a definite yes.
Also, After the Disabled God of War Became My Concubine, because I am morbidly fascinated by the unending plot holes.

My observation of wuxia and xianxia web novels so far is that it really shows when the author already knows how a novel will end vs when they are open ended writing.

My thoughts on pacing were set long ago by other genres. That being said, I think that pacing has as much to do with writing quality & style as it does with word count. War and Peace is long but well paced. The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman can put even fans into a coma.

Vote blue as the lesser evil. However, we also need to talk about those Democrats on the board at Cornell and how Democrats continue to condone rape through inaction.

EDITOR’S NOTE: if your trans friend who lives alone bc they had to run away from their family and struggles to make rent gets killed, NYT will only ever report about them as a statistic much later during an election campaign, if it helps their preferred candidate, who probably hates you
